Ice-skating, table tennis, badminton, city tour and pantomime classes were among the most notable extracurricular activities that students from NakhonPathomRajabhat University (NPRU) of Thailand participated in since their arrival at FPT University. For each activity, NPRU students showed great interests and excitement beside students from FPT University.
In the evening of March 30th, two students from FPT University, Bui Hong Nhung and Than Thi Trang started their journey to Japan, taking part in an one-year exchange program at Shinshu University. One of them, Hong Nhung, is awarded a Jasso scholarship worth YEN 960,000 (VND 200 million). This is the second time a student from FPT University is awarded a prestigious Jasso scholarship.
170 student athletes coming from 13 universities and colleges entered the Open FPT University Vovinam Championship held in the Hoa Lac campus of FPT University. Taking place on March 16th and 17th, with 83 combating games and 49 demonstrations, the Championship was the chance for the student athletes to meet and compete in this traditional sport.
At 11PM, March 6th, the flight carrying the delegation from Bunkyo University took off, returning the 2 professors and 16 students to the nation of Sakura. “I am saddened to say goodbye, but also feel lucky for the chance to get to know these friendly and pleasant friends”, said FPT student Nguyen Hong Giang, a companion of the Japanese students throughout the week of the exchange program.

89 students from FPT University officially became new Software Engineers after a warm and solemn graduation ceremony on November 28th in the Opera House – Ho Chi Minh City.
On August 2nd, at Innovation building, FPT University students had an exchange meeting with the volunteer team from Korea. Inspired by an open and friendly learning spirit, the participants had a stimulating discussion on development trends of the IT industry and mobile technology.
Returning from the 9thAsian Youth Congress, held from July 9 to 12, 2012 in Osaka, Japan, Nguyen Tien Anh, a student of FPT University’s 6th batch has gained amazing experience, and he now has a dream of coming back to Japan after graduation.
As a custom, on the day of Tanabata every year, FPT University holds a festival to introduce this special culture to its students. This year, with better organization, in the night of July 6th, the Tanabata festival took place in colors and excitement at Detech bulding.
