In the afternoon of August 1st, a team from Toshiba Information Systems Japan, led by Chief Executive Kazuaki Onchi, accompanied by some FPT Software staff, paid a visit to FPT University at its Hòa Lạc premises.

During the visit, Vice Rector Nguyễn Xuân Phong, on behalf of FPT University, received the team and later made an introduction on the university’s training majors, number of students, training quality and curriculum. Phong answered questions from representatives of Toshiba Information Systems about the methods and quality of the admission process, the university’s facilities, and its range of specialized training programs. Vice Rector Phong also expressed a desire to cooperate with Toshiba in the future.

Mr. Kazuaki Onchi, CEO of Toshiba Information Systems, asks about FPT University’s training curriculum, quality and facilities.

The Toshiba Information Systems team then toured around Hòa Lạc campus. To express his satisfaction after visiting the classrooms, the cafeteria, the dormitories, and the sports center, Mr. Kazuaki Onchi said, “I’m very surprised at the size of FPT University as these facilities take only one third of total area. When FPT University completes its construction on the whole area of 30ha, I can’t imagine how large your campus will be. When visiting the classrooms, I felt even more surprised because there were up to only 30 students per class. It proves that FPT University focuses so well on education quality, since with only 30 learners in a class the teacher-student gap is greatly reduced.”
