Accordingly, in order for students to have a good series of laptops with an affordable price, FPT University and HP Vietnam have signed the Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation to launch the program “Buy HP laptop with a reduced  price for FPT University student only”.

 In this program, HP Vietnam has provided many suitable series with a price ranging from $500 to $1500; depending on the configuration; with a preferential margin, much better than the retail price from $60~$100. especially the Golden Toad

The best student for each semester – instead of receiving a laptop from HP as a reward- (this dates back to October 2008,) is fully sponsored to a learning tour in Singapore, offered by HP Vietnam.

In Singapore, in addition to the basic tour, the students will visit a HP Singapore factory, visit and communicate with FPT students already working in Singapore at FPT Software headquartes.

They will , discover famous places of the Lion Island…, the Golden Toads also will visit the smart house Cooltown at HP Singapore headquarters

. According to Mr Nguyễn Khánh Hồng – HP representative in Singapore, Cooltown is the meeting place of 3 factors: vision, research program, and high community value. By connecting mobile and stationary devices everywhere, Cooltown can support by providing significant information and services to users, and by that, it can change how people live, work and play.

From October 2010, each year, HP Vietnam will sponsor the learning-tour for 6 most excellent student of FPT University.

Through the trip, the students will have the opportunity to be introduced to the modern technologies which HP is developing. The learning tour in Singapore is considered to be a deserved and highly significant reward from FPT University and HP Vietnam.

It will provide FPT students with knowledge and practical experience in a foreign environment, as well as affording students the chance of experiencing advanced technologies. In the next step, FPT University and HP Vietnam also consider cooperation expansion such as co-participating in some technology programs. The target of both sides is to create conditions for young people to have an opportunity to access  a professional working environment and modern technologies

In the future, the university will continue to strengthen cooperation activities with the leading technology corporations, focusing on expanding student exchange programs with universities from all over the world. The aim is to create more and more opportunities for students at FPT to experience the learning methods at large Universities, both domestic and foreign technology centres.
