FPT University students joyfully welcomes new school

In the morning of September 22^nd 2009, nearly 700 new students of FPT University joined the Opening Ceremony in the Cau Giay Hall, Hanoi, within the autumn atmosphere of the a new schooling season.

Attending the ceremony are Dr. Truong Gia Binh - Chairman of Board of FPT Corporation, Ms. Chu Thanh Ha - General Director of FPT Telecom, Mr Truong Gia Tu – High Director of Tienphong bank, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Tran Ai Quoc - General Manager of the administrative work in Education Center of National Defense HN2, Master Huynh Tan Chau - Director of FPT University of Da Nang, along with the managing board, teachers, staff of FPT University and parents of the students.
Dean Le Truong Tung opened the Ceremony by sharing the vision, direction and strategic development of FPT University. He also reviewed the landmarks, achievements of the past and entrust his confidential expectation in the students of a new generation. In order to mark the beginning of a new school year, Dr. Nguyen Khac Thanh - Vice principal of FPT University pulsate the traditional drum, officially opened a new era of evolution for all the students as well as staff and teachers.

As the CEO of FPT Corporation, Dr. Truong Gia Binh brought to the meeting a cozy and intimate speech, with lively examples from the experience, especially lessons about the powerful rising of China in the recent years. With the quoting of the famous axiom "To look into the mirror to realize you", Mr. Truong Gia Binh expected each student will be a soldier in the frontline, contribute to the development, prosperity of this country's future. Professor Truong Gia Binh shared: "As the seniors, we understand that in order to achieve success, you must commit to yourself, based on the striving of the body and the heart. You must live an integrity life, with a fair mind and independence in your characteristic. Now you are a member of FPT University. Inspire of its inexperience, in here, we share the dream of our whole nation, our whole resilient country.

On the side of the parents, Dr. Truong Huu Tri – Director of machinery and equipment industry Institute, said: "We entrust in the future and willingly delegate our children for FPT University; a new innovative environment that I believe will give students opportunities to become the great scientists in the new aeon of tomorrow. In the dream of innovation, we hope you students can successfully realize the aspiration of the IT in Vietnam: become the largest software exporting country of the world. We're counting on you and looking forward to a Vietnamese Bill Gates in the future. "

On behalf of all of students, Hoang Phu Quy – 100% scholarships student once again affirmed his determination: "We select FPT University as the destination of the next path. I hope we will be determined enough to go on that way until the very end . “ Fear not! We will triumph over difficulties and the despair moments. The bright future is waiting for us who dare to win”.
In the ceremony, FPT University also awarded the certification of full 100% scholarships worth $11200 along with 70% and 50% scholarship for representatives of 100 excellent students as well as certification for nearly 150 other students. Also, 5 students who got the highest score in entrance test are also given gifts in recognition of their achievements.

The most exciting and impressive part of the Ceremony to the new students are the home-made performances filled with the spirit of the FPTers. With the glinting eager eyes, the ceaseless applause, new members of FPT family show their inconcealable admiration to their seniors who perform the Vovinam martial art, and “Nobody” dance. Some students didn’t even hesitate on going onto the stage, singing and transmitting the zeal for the entire students below. Definitely, all of them will never forget the moment that the “Students song” was sang. In the end of the Ceremony, hundreds of students got on the stage to perform the traditional song" FPT the river of oath” in joyfully wave of hands and radiant smile of friendship. Dissolving all the minds and souls together, they surely will overwhelm the next path together with their hearts connected and desire shared.
After this ceremony, all the new students will begin the Orientation week and participate in the training month in Xuan Hoa.
