FPT students receive scholarships of Furtwangen University

Studying environment in Furtwangen University
In the spring semester of 2010, five most excellent students of FPT University had been presented full and semi-scholarships from Furtwangen University (Germany) within activities of the Green Summer Fellowship program.
Furtwangen University is one of the top 5 universities specialized in IT in the community of German-speaking Universities (includes Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). It's located inside the European Union so it's very easy to connect with other nations in the Europe. Furtwangen University has an open learning environment and multicultural lifestyle, with a moderate cost of living. Therefore, studying at the University of Furtwangen is a good opportunity for FU students to be open with the culture of many other countries as well as be familiar with advanced technology of Germany, and have the change to communicate and get acquainted with new friends from all over the world.

 

The students who are chosen to be participators in the program are evaluated by three criteria: achievement in studying, achievement in dedicating activities and achievement in national or international contests. On that base, Nguyen Phan Quang Nhat (9.2 points) - SE0429 and Tran Hai Dang (8.5 points) - SE0302 were granted the full scholarships. Three other students who were received semi- scholarships are Dao Duy Thanh (8.6 points) - SE0423, Cuong Gia Le (8.55 point) - SE0423 and Ngo Duc Duy (8.0 points) - SE0426. Earlier, in 2009, two first FPT students: Phuong Huyen - SE0103 and Ngo Tuan Dat - SE0104 had also been awarded scholarships within the program of student exchanging with Furtwangen University.

Studying will start on March 2nd, 2010 and finish on July 23rd, 2010 with five main subjects: German culture, German and three other IT disciplines. Students will be exempted from tuition fees during the course. With full scholarships, they will receive the payment about 1591 Euros, paid four times in March, April, May, June and will be free to access other accessibilities . With the students who get the semi- scholarship, they have to pay on daily activities and other social services. At the present, five students have completed all formalities needed for the journey.
