

Recently, in Hall 204- Detech building, FPT students participated in a Job Seminar held by FPT University SRO department, in cooperation with the Gameloft company. This company is offering 500 career opportunities in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The seminar then, is indeed the place where FPT students, especially last years undergraduates, to seek a chance of job selection.

FPT student joined a game in the role of Gameloft employers
Established in 2004, Gameloft is Vietnam’s professional field in mobile games. Currently, the company has a demand for a massive number of recruitments, especially software developers working in Hanoi.
According to Ms Nguyen Thi Thu Hien- Head of Gameloft Vietnam’s HR Department, there are many suitable opportunities for FPT students in the company, not only in Mobile Game creation but also in the new field of HD Games, e.g. iPhone Freemium, Mac, and even Facebook/Social Game. Among them, Facebook/Social Game in particular, there are positions in both Hanoi and HCM City which are well suited to FPT students such as: Facebook Game Project Manager, C# Facebook Developer, C++ Facebook Developer, PHP Facebook Developer, Facebook Game Design Specialist, Facebook Flash/UI Graphics Specialist, and Facebook Game Quality Assurance Specialist.

At the seminar, after learning about the Gameloft company, FPT students joined a game for six players, divided into three teams of two. Each team member played the role of a Gameloft employer and presented arguments to persuade applicants to submit their CV to the company. The game was an opportunity for students to demonstrate their power of eloquence, as well as communication and persuasion skill before the audience.

Ms Nguyen Thi Hai, HR Manager of Gameloft Vietnam also emphasized: “When working in the position of Quality Assurance Department (Game Tester), FPT students will participate in the process of finding product bugs, to ensure top quality for Gameloft games. The main work of game testers is to play games on phones to detect errors, describe these errors and report them to the bug base. Secondly, to become a member of a professional game development team with modern technology, besides office computing efficiency, candidates must be very observant, with reference to details. Candidates must also have a good skill in reading and writing English”.

Last year undergraduates participated in C#, C++ and PHP test.
Gameloft Seminar has given FPT students the opportunity to challenge themselves, in seeking out their favorite job in game technology. After filling in all the information in the application form, FPT students then had to complete a two-hour test, to identify their level, as well as their ability to understand and use C#, C++ and PHP languages. Next week, Gameloft will publish the list of selected students and begin training for them.
