FPT University signs memorandum of understanding with Nakhon Pathon University

FPT University and representatives of Nakhon Pathon University from Thailand signed a memorandum of understanding on February 28th. In this visit, Nakhon Pathon staff shared their good impressions of the education environment and facilities of FPT University and also expressed a wish for closer ties between the two universities in the future.

 

Introducing about Nakhon Pathon University, Vice Rector Wichai Lamyai said that, Nakhon Pathon University is a long-standing university with various training programs and modern facilities. Besides, the university also aims to boost its training for international students, especially through internship student-exchange programs.  Today, there are about 200 students from Vietnam, Laos, China… studying at the university.

 

In the meeting both sides frankly and deeply expressed their wishes of the future cooperation program.

As for FPT University, Vice Rector Nguyen Kim Anh talked about the education quality which FPT University has achieved in recent years, and also told about the university’s schedule of expanding international training in the near future. As a large university in Vietnam specializing in IT and having remarkable achievements in national and international IT academic contests as well as holding inspiring statistics of the graduates’ career, FPT University impressed the visitors also by its number of students who are studying and working overseas in many educational cooperation programs. In 2011, the University brought chances to nearly 20% of its graduates to participate in student and cultural exchange programs or seminars aboard.

 

FPT University representative, Vice Rector Nguyen Kim Anh signed the memorandum of understanding with Nakhon Pathon University. This memorandum will be valid for 5 years, and open a promising future of cooperation between the two universities.

After the signing ceremony, the Nakhon Pathon delegation were shown around the Detech building and also introduced about the under-construction campus in the Hoa Lac High Tech Park. Expressing her feeling about FPT University, Professor Wikilairat Kirin said: “I’m happy and impressed when visiting FPT University. Everything here is wonderful, from people to facilities. I feel the enthusiasm in everybody, especially in the students. With that strong spirit and determination, you will achieve many things and FPT University can go much further"

 

The representatives from Nakhon Pathon were impressed with FPT University’s library.

 

After the visit, Nakhon Pathon representatives expressed their desire for a closer cooperation in the near future.

Upon the trip, the Nakhon Pathon delegation all said they would look forward to a closer cooperation with FPT University through a variety of exchange programs like student, internship, staff or researcher exchange.
