In December 23rd, The Capstone Project Defense Ceremony – Semester Fall 2011 of 54 FPT Software Engineering students was solemnly held in Detech building, FPT University. After a serious time of preparation, FPT students succeeded in their last and most important mission of their university time. Especially, one of the projects was ordered for purchase by a company while it was still under development.
Dynamic, fast, understanding the work, good teamwork skills, capable to learn and apply new technologies in a short time… were the comments of FPT Software representatives on 115 FPT students who had completed their 8-month On-the-Job Training Program (OJT) at the Internship Certificate Award Ceremony on 9/1 at Detech building.
In the morning of January 7th, an introductory conference on Panasonic Master Scholarship took place at the Detech building, FPT University. The information on eligibility, details of applications as well as a few tips for effective approaches to Japan’s most prestigious scholarship, which is worth $ 72,000 (equivalent to 1.5 billion VND) attracted the attention of many FPT students. In 2011, a student of FPT University was honored to receive this scholarship.
In the morning of January 5th 2012, , in the Hi-tech Park of District 9 HCM City, FPT University and FPT Software organized the Launching Ceremony of On-the-Job Training Program for nearly 80 Software Engineering students.
On 29th December, FPT University in cooperation with FPT Software HCM Joint Stock Company held a sum-up ceremony and awarded certificates to 89 students of Software Engineering having completed the On-the-job-training (OJT) cooperation program. The ceremony saw a strong appraisal from FPT Software for FPT University students. After the internship semester, 12 excellent students were offered a part-time job with FPT Software
In the evening of December 29th, two FPT Ngo Ngoc Mai and Nguyen Phuoc Boi Tran were in the Government Office, participating the 2011 IT Female Student Award Ceremony. Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan also attended and directly gave certificates to the students.
On 24th November, representatives of FPT University’s Management Board took part in Japan ICT Day 2011. This event, which aimed to promote business partnerships between Vietnam and Japan was jointly held by Vietnam Software & IT Services Association (VINASA) and Vietnam – Japan IT Cooperation Club .
In the afternoon of November 22nd, the graduation ceremony of 107 FPT bachelors of Software Engineering was solemnly held at Hanoi Opera House. This was the third time in 2011 that FPT University had granted diplomas to its graduates, raising the number of graduates within this year to over 300.
“Being in Japan for a short time, I soon recognized this place is the heaven. This country is really very civilized”, Quang Hung, one of four FPT student participating in the student exchange program between FPT University and Kyutech University – Japan expressed his feeling of being here.
On 18th November, four outstanding students of FPT University were honored to receive ANZ scholarships, worth $2,500 each. The program is under the cooperating agreement between FPT University and ANZ Bank, in which ANZ annually reserves a Scholarship fund with a total value of $10,000 for FPT’s excellent students.
