On May 7th, at Hoa Lac campus of FPT University, an Ending Ceremony of NPRU University (Thailand) students’ study at FPT University was held with the conferring of completion credits to 47 lecturers and students of NPRU. The event marked the success of the very first exchange program between two universities with a lot of indelible memories for the students between FPT University and NPRU University.
A little fall of rain in the early morning of April 26th helped create a pleasant atmosphere and a healthy spirit for 115 FPT Students of the IT Faculty, Batch 5A to start their Graduation Project Defense Ceremony. Taking place on April 26th and 27th, the Graduation Project Defense Ceremony once again saw the creativity, the ability to apply new technologies into real use and the high teamwork spirit of the students of FPT University.
Department of Information Technology, FPT University, Vietnam (DIT FPTU) formed a partnership with Nuvoton Technology Corporation (NTC), Taiwan, chip design company, who is interested to partner in ‘Academic Program’. In which Nuvoton donate and provide microcontroller NuMicro ARM Cortex™-M0 NUC 140 learning boards, document, facility for the class for research based on microcontroller ARM Cortex™-M0.
In the evening of April 21st, Vietnam Software Association (VINASA) held its 10 years celebration for the Sao Khue Awards Ceremony and awarded the most outstanidng software products, services and solutions of 2013. FPT University maintained its performance, being the only IT training unit to receive 2 Sao Khue 2013 awards in 2 different categories.
From April 8th to April 14th, the 21st National Mathematics Olympics for University Students took place jubilantly in Danang. Participating in this grand contest, FPT University maintained their impressive performance with 1 First Prize, 4 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes and 2 Consolation Prizes. This is a well-deserved result for the efforts of the students and teachers of FPT University.
Inspiring and promoting thinking of globalization in the youths, creating many realistic and attractive chances to study overseas, sharing information on the dream of reaching international standards of Vietnam etc. were many students’ impressions on the Global Learning 2013 conference, which took place on April 5th at the Hoa Lac campus of FPT University.
On April 4th, at the Hoa Lac campus, FPT University and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) signed an agreement on the training program for stat-ups named “Start Your Business” (SYB). This program aims to bring students as close as possible to realistic experiences after graduation. This is a mandatory subject in the training program of the University.
On April 3rd, 14 students and 16 lecturers from NakhonPathomRajabhat University (NPRU) of Thailand arrived in Vietnam, officially begin their study at FPT University. This is the first batch of students from the Land of Golden Temples to study and train at FPT Study as part of the “Semester Abroad” program implemented by the two Universities starting from 2013.
With the hope that each student of FPT University will get the chance to study abroad for a certain period of time and experience the overseas environment, from April 2013, FPT University will officially implement the “Semester Abroad” program, enabling students to study in India and Thailand. This is a very significant opportunity for FPT Students to study specialized subjects in a foreign university, as well as gaining valuable life and study experiences in an international environment.
That was what Mr. Tran Ngoc Tuan, Vice Rector of FPT University, said during the international conference entitled “Ranking and Benchmarking in Higher Education: International Experience and Implications for Vietnam”, which were held by Institute for Education Quality Assurance (INFEQA) on March 26th, at the Local Training Center of SEAMEO, Ho Chi Minh City.
